iPhone Users: Hack Your Sleep with this Quick Trick.



Apple's latest iOS updates include an impressive new feature designed to help you relax and achieve a deeper sleep.


As I have stated in earlier blog entries, sound machines are beneficial tools for attaining more restful sleep. Utilizing White Noise, Brown Noise, and Green Noise is just one method to enhancing your sleep quality.


Grab your phone and pull down the screen from the right side to access your Control Center (flashlight, calculator..etc.). Then in the top right hand corner click on the + sign, click the button that says + Add a control, and scroll down until you see Hearing Accessibility, click the button in the shape of an ear labeled Hearing.


Once you've added it to your cotrol center, open it and play around with the different noises that are uploaded already like Dark Noise, Rain, and Fire. You may have to click the button with the three music notes on it in order for you to turn on the sound machine feature (located at the top).



Benefits of sound machines:

  • Masks background noises or noisy streets/ neighbors

  • Improves sleep quality

  • Lowers stress and anxiety

  • Improves mood

  • Can be used for meditative purposes


Individual preference will vary between sounds but when you find the right one for you- you can achieve a more restful nights sleep.
